If you are unhappy with any decision(s) issued by ACC (this includes cover, surgery, weekly compensation, treatment and other entitlements), we can help you by contacting ACC on your behalf and trying to resolve the issue by dialogue or mediation.
Once we have an authority to act on your behalf, we can represent you throughout this process and provide comprehensive advice and recommendations to ease your journey . Depending on the case, your issue may get resolved or settled by ACC without having to go through the full review process which can save a lot of time and hassle.
If your issue is not resolved, we can also lodge a review application on your behalf which includes reviewing and preparing the file with new evidence, attending a case conference, attending a mediation or conciliation, responding to any communications from ACC and the independent reviewer adjudicating the case, drafting submissions and representing you at a Review Hearing.
Comprehensive File Review & Advice
If you feel that your claim or entitlements have been declined wrongfully, we can request a full file copy from ACC on your behalf and complete a comprehensive file review by providing detailed advice on the decision(s) issued by ACC and the next steps you should consider.
We can also assist you with questions to your doctor or specialist to obtain further information and/or evidence for an ACC review hearing or for further consideration by ACC on your claim for your entitlements.
Customised Support
We can guide you by customising our services to suit your needs by either providing you with advice on a particular issue e.g assessment of your case or by writing submissions for you which can further include gathering additional evidence to support you at the review hearing.
This service is tailored to your needs. Some individuals like to deal with ACC directly but they do not understand the full review process, time-frames or the legislation. Let us support you with a particular issue or subject as required.
On-going Claim Support
We can support you with your claim even if there is no review or current issue.
Let us liaise with ACC on your behalf and manage all communications end-to-end to save you the extra stress.
We will provide you advice along the way and assist you with the management of your claim to help you access all your entitlements.
Our Fee Structure
Our initial consultation is always free of charge.
If you instruct us to represent you for an ACC issue, mediation or review hearing, most of the costs are covered by ACC regulations, which means that often, our clients will not need to pay anything as ACC regulation costs will cover our services provided to you. Services completed are billed to the client however, are recoverable under regulation costs awarded as part of review proceedings.
There maybe extra charges should you be successful with our assistance. We usually charge an agreed percentage fee to any successful outcome. This is called a 'contingent' fee structure, which means you only pay if you are successful. No success, means no fee and any work completed is free of any charge to you.
If your issue is not review related, we will agree costs with you prior to completing any work.
